Today we are lauching a new website!

Yes, Tonia and I have created a new website about our passion for travel, photography and life!

Of course, it is full of pictures (check out the galleries!) and enjoy our extended galleries on Picasa as well! We’ve included pictures from Bali, Goa, Normandy, Zeeland and the Camino to Santiago.

Tonia wants to create more inspiring pictures and contribute to share her view on the world. By being a passionate photographer, you can already sense her ability to make you part of it. It feels sometimes like you are with her at that right moment the picture is taken. Excellent!

Create your own business?

How many of us are dreaming of creating a business from doing something we are passionate about? How do you know what your passion is? Do you really think you can make money by just doing what you love? No? That’s why most people stop here and return to their daily job, being unhappy and remaining stuck for the rest of their lives.

Of course, this is not about you

What can you do to break this pattern? Start by creating a vision and dreaming again! Make a list of things you really, really love to do. It doesn’t matter if these have no correlation at first sight. Start writing now!

Just come up with a list of stuff like driving luxury cars, dining in fancy restaurants, flying around the world to explore nature, etc. Wouldn’t it be great to do this for a living? Be paid for what you love to do…just make sure you choose something you really love!

When you have this list, just Google and find out who else is doing this? Find out about your competitors. It would be great if you find them. That means there is a market for it,right? And if they can, you can too

Now, think about this activity. Do you love it so much, you are dreaming of doing this every day? Would you enjoy it every day? Great! If not, go back to updating your list until you find something you are daily passionate about…

The next step is to think about the business model. Most people never get started because they think they don’t have what it takes to build a successful business. In their mind they are lacking background (education, experience, age,…), resources (people, money, equipment,…) and guts (giving up security, positive attitude, business feeling,…). But guess what? No one does! Every entrepreneur is learning along the way! And who said you can’t start small?

Before you do actually start, write a business plan and talk to some specialists. Most of them are willing to have a first look at your plan for free. All you have to do is ASK them! You might be surprised how many are ready to help a fellow entrepreneur… And if after a while you are absolutely sure, you didn’t find anyone, just ask me

The most important thing to do is to start working on the “What” you want to do. Make sure you are passionate about it! If you have found it, you can start working on the “How” of your business. You will see how much easier it gets once you have the “What”!

Create, Connect & Contribute

We are all being influenced…

Everyone knows that we are being influenced by the many impressions we have to process daily.

Just think about the traditional media, where ads, billboards, etc. are read/seen (unconsciously?) throughout the day.

At a certain moment in time, a new product hits the market. It seems like we are instantly familiar with this new product…How did this happen? Most of the time through subliminal messaging and influence.

Your child’s creativity?

A lot has been said about creativity, but what are the rules, the boundaries, the goals, the outcome? Who knows?

Who are we to put a limit to a child’s creativity? Maybe we should ask: How can we encourage a child?Let’s use our imagination too…

I know this commercial already exists for some time now, but it’s time for you to have a look at it

So, think twice, before you are judging your child’s drawing(s) again…

Nederland Innovatief

Na lang wachten heb ik eindelijk de spits afgebeten… mijn eerste artikel over Nieuwe producten bedenken is verschenen op Nederland Innovatief, weblog over innovatie in Nederland. Willy van Bragt heeft het initiatief genomen om met deze blog te starten. Een tijdje terug vroeg hij me om af en toe een artikel mee te schrijven en ik heb met plezier ingestemd!

Nu, wat kan een Belg vertellen over innovatie in Nederland

Wacht maar af en lees regelmatig Nederland Innovatief, de meeste ideeën zijn immers ook in België toepasbaar…

A new life, a new mission, a new website

After writing my new mission in life, I had to come up with a new website as well

The main elements of my new life are my three C’s : Create, Connect & Contribute.

Read all about it on my (brand new) website! Now that people start visiting my website, the word will spread that I have a blog. Until now, I almost wrote ‘undercover’, like not telling people about it, so I could get some content first

What is your mission in life ? And do you live up to it ?

And of course, any feedback on my website and blog are welcome as well!
