What a great experience!

A couple of weekends ago, I went to Breakthrough to Success, a seminar by Chris Howard, one of the leading authorities on accelerated personal achievement.

Together with 5 friends and Tonia, we went to London to attend this 3 day seminar.

The results are astonishing!

During the seminar they gave us several testimonials about people who doubled their income after a week or so. I punched my friends next to me, saying that it would be nice, but I couldn’t see it happen for me. What a limiting belief that was! ;-)

Going through the seminar it became clear that this was not my only limiting belief…time for action, right?

Anyway, I got rid of several limiting beliefs and replaced them with my mission in life and several magical dreams. I also felt like my fourth ‘C’ was eager to start, so I finally did tell some people about it. I ended up with several friends asking me to become their coach and to help them going through a similar transformation process like mine. I love it!

On the camino I sometimes asked people (who did not know me at all), what kind of profession they would think would suit me best. I was blown away by the amount of people telling me I’d be a fantastic coach! It made me thinking about it, so when I got back I talked to several professional coaches about becoming a coach myself. Yves Miserez, another friend at Ecademy, is a succesful coach for years. I was really touched by his positive reaction and stimulation (like several of his collegues). The week after Chris Howard’s seminar, Yves called me to ask if I was interested in a coaching project for over 20 people! Wow!

In the end, I realised by accepting his offer, that I just doubled my income and that Chris Howard was right again ;-)

#1 Belgian author on Amazon?

Let’s Connect

My friend Jan Vermeiren, the Networking Coach just launched his book Let’s Connect in the US market through a massive sales action on Amazon. On the 9th of October the long-awaited day finally arrived. His goal was to become the first Belgian author to appear in the top selling list at Amazon!

He informed everyone on his mailinglist, his mastermindgroup, his friends, family and a lot extra people through his indirect network.

So, what happened?

Here is a short overview of how I experienced it:

  • Jan mailed everyone on time. I received even a reminder that the launch-day was coming…excellent!
  • I also informed several friends and posted an article on Ecademy.
  • His book was still on pre-order on the 9th! This way people could not publish their testimonials/reviews and create more traffic to his book. I can imagine that several people thought they even could not buy the book yet…
  • On top of that, there is no index, free chapter or any other goodies available in the pre-order phase.
  • I ordered a couple of books from different accounts. Why? Well, it seems more logical to order 3 times 1 book then ordering 3 books at once (1 order vs. 3 orders), although the total stays the same!
  • I watched every couple of hours at the ranking of Let’s Connect on Amazon. I saw it moving up in several categories. So, it really works!
  • Some people ordered at Amazon in the UK or Germany, instead of in the US! Efforts were split, resulting in a sub-optimal rankings.

These are the best results Jan got with Let’s Connect:

  • Number 2 Marketing book (Amazon.com)
  • Number 9 Management book (Amazon.com)
  • Number 16 Business Management book (Amazon.com)
  • Overall Amazon.com: 176
  • Overall Amazon.co.uk: 3715
  • English books on Amazon.de: 746

I congratulate Jan, because despite the several challenges, he made it into the top 10 twice and into the top 200 overall, just in 1 day! How did Jan make this happen? Just read his blog ;-)

Going from ‘to see’ to ‘foresee’!

Lately, I am so lucky to go through several amazing experiences! For some people hard to believe, for me an (almost) every day experience! Just (dare to) ask and it is given…

During the creation of my new vision in life I came across several keywords, issues, plans, intentions, feelings and dreams. I destilled a list of “things” I really like to do and others I really dislike. The latter was thrown away, in order to focus completely on my positive list. I only want to do what I love to do, living with passion and enjoying every day!

Visualising is a very important practice. I defined my concept of 2C (to see), creating and connecting. This way I can maximize my non-stop creative mind and help people in a practical way solving their issues. I concluded that selling myself as a creative consultant is an excellent way to act upon this fun activity of creating ideas, new products/services, new applications, new markets, …

I also like to talk to people, listen to their story, build relationships and truely help people. Everyone is always looking for something or someone in particular, right? By connecting people, I am actively helping people solving their issues or challenges. This activity resulted in becoming a professional networker. For some of my friends it was obvious, because to them I am a natural networker. Some even suggested it to me as the perfect road (thanks Martijn & Bert B.) !

These 2Cs, create and connect, started to become part of my vision, “to see” my perfect future!

During my power-sabbatical, earlier this year, it became clear that these 2Cs are part of a higher element : contribute. I want to contribute to a better world. I want to help the people that are living in less fortunate circumstances. My dream is to start up my own charity foundation.

I also want to contribute to the lifes of the people around me, both private and professionally. This brings me to my fourth C : coaching.

My four Cs (4C) allow me to help others to visualise their perfect future. I inspire people. By creating, connecting, contributing and coaching, I help them “to foresee” and realise their dreams!

A big love story…

A tame female elephant has fled an Indian circus after eloping with a wild bull elephant that broke open a gate and led her off into the jungle, her distraught handler said today.

We are all being influenced…

Everyone knows that we are being influenced by the many impressions we have to process daily.

Just think about the traditional media, where ads, billboards, etc. are read/seen (unconsciously?) throughout the day.

At a certain moment in time, a new product hits the market. It seems like we are instantly familiar with this new product…How did this happen? Most of the time through subliminal messaging and influence.
